Its been awhile, but finally back in town. Carpet work is done, dog houses look great.
So now on to rewiring the upper dash because all of the wires are dead and installing the roof antenna.

Inside today
Plug wires are finally on. So I decided to tackle the water damage in the ceiling, aarrgghh.
Going to have to duplicate the original ceiling with some minor changes. Menards here I come.

And the carpet work goes on and on...
Second dog house is taking forever, little more bends and a couple of curves. The upper dash is done but now my boss says she might want doors on the cutouts.

Carpet Extraordinaire?
Put carpet on the upper dash today. Straight lines. It should have been easier than the dog house but surprisingly was not.
Started on the second smaller dog house. The manufacturer most have had patterns, it was almost impossible. I used what was left of the old piece and recreated the missing parts and then laid it as a template.
Laid out the piece for the floor but am waiting for the sound and heat proofing.

Busy, Busy, Busy
It was warmer today so I was very busy. The dog house is completely carpeted, and the upper dash has been dry fitted and looks good.
As I was removing the old carpet in the camper, I found another half dog house up under the dash and it was a bear to remove. They also ran the carpet all the way up the firewall so they must have did that before the dash was installed.
Need to really plan ahead here so things don't have to be removed once they are installed, like the CB antenna that was leaking, repair the hole or replace the antenna just in case I want a CB later.
Reinforcing some wood that was fiber-glassed in place but is in poor condition due to water damage. I also decided to do a drop down TV mount behind the front seats as long as that part of the ceiling is being replaced.

Out of money for now
After replacing the title I lost for $125.00, I went to DMV and got plates and registration, another $300,00.
Got the carpet finally and am replacing it on the dog house, a little at a time due to all of the complex angles.
Completely rebuilt the upper dash as I call it. Cut out for new speakers and lights, also added cubbies for storage.
You can see the water damage.
The new improved version. So for now I will remove and replace carpet, and this upper dash.

Still cold
Tried to put on the plug wires, too short! Good choice though, see picture.
Apparently there is more damage than I knew.
Got both fuel filters changed but not without gas in my face.

To cold to work outside today so I removed the carpet from the dog house and ordered new rubber stripping for it, hope it works.

New plugs, new cap, new rotor. I thought the wires were fine until one of them fell apart. No problem, new wires, California or non California, haven't a clue.
Factory fuel filter is gone and in its place a universal plastic model.
Should be able to try and start it again tomorrow, going to try seafoam in the vacuum system to try and clean it out.

So the work begins
Its running rough so lets start with a tune-up.
The brownish red dust is from arcing voltage inside the cap. So new cap, rotor and coil.

It's still cold out
Well, I brought it home. Supposed to be 53 degrees tomorrow. Started right up with the new battery. If you want Interstate batteries, go to Costco, save a bunch.
Engine is running poorly so time for a tune up.
Also ordered and received new steering dampers, took a lot of research but finally ordered and verified with an old manual I found.
Monroe SC2913 Magnum Steering Damper
Monroe 555944 Gas-Magnum RV Steering Damper
Also ordered a new mattress.
LUCID 12 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress - Triple-Layer - 4 Pound Density Ventilated Gel Foam - CertiPUR-US Certified - 25-Year Warranty - Queen

Thought I would save some money and not register it until spring. Well, I lost the title and it is costing me $125.00 to replace it. That's how Illinois does it. Wisconsin...$20.00 aarrgghh
